We started this series because we knew we wanted it to exist. Beyond that, there was very little direction or meaning. Over the years, what we’ve discovered is that Etowah’s sole purpose. For our final Dinner Series event of 2026 we’re doing something to meet that mission head-on.

Join us as we welcome Cam Smith, formerly of Hog and Hominy and most recently of Catherine and Mary’s, as our featured chef for Dinner Series no. 16. Cam is one of the most inspiring chefs working in Memphis right now, and his stories and food are sure to make for an incredible evening of food and wine and laughter.

Here’s where it gets really fun: Cam is planning a trip to West Africa in the summer of 2027 to research the foodways and history of the people there in an effort to bring techniques, flavors, and inspiration back to Memphis to put to work in his kitchen here. Proceeds from this event will go directly to making this trip happen. Plus, attendees will be invited to an exclusive post-trip roundtable and cocktail event when Cam gets back.

You can expect the Etowah Dinner Series you all know and love. Join us as Cam tells his story through five courses. Tickets include pre-dinner cocktail service and complimentary wine pairings. Cocktail service featuring art from Ugly Art Co. will begin at 6:30, with dinner just after 7:00.

Tickets are available from $175 per person, and space is very limited.
